Potsdam & Prague again!

Our Saturday (February 12) was a free day, so a few friends and I decided to go to Potsdam.  The capital city of Brandenburg is only a 45 minute train ride from Berlin, and it only cost us 3 euros round trip!  We caught a 10:30 train, and were in Potsdam a little after 11.  The city was beautiful, and we got to see a great deal of it during our short visit.  Also, the weather was outstanding, as you will see with the following photos!!
A fountain outside the Sanssouci Palace, with Roman ruins in the background.
A windmill on the Sanssouci grounds.

Here I am with Veronica, Allison and Kent in front of the Roman ruins.

The colors are amazing in this photo.

Those brown and green things are covered by flowers during the spring and summertime...
I would love to go back to see Sanssouci then.
Neues Palais - Frederick the Great's crib.

Cecilienhoff - this is where the Potsdam Agreements took place!

The grounds of Cecilienhoff were amazing.

This way to the old town!

We had a great time exploring the old town, and got back to Berlin around 4.  The entire group ate at an Indian restaurant that night, and then we went out as a group, which was so much fun!

We were up really early on Sunday to leave for Vienna.  We arrived in Prague, our rest stop, around noon and had another two hours to explore the city.  This go-round, I went with some friends to the Prague Castle and St. Vitus' Cathedral.  Both sites were beautiful.  We also saw some great views of Prague, as both the castle and cathedral are on top of an enormous hill!

The stained glass in St. Vitus' was the most beautiful I'd ever seen

Is that you Our Lady of Sorrows?

And that's the end of my 9-day trip! I have so much more to update on and I will try my hardest to do it before this weekend!  I still need my sister to upload photos from their visit to Vienna and then I will be good to go!

--- So if you see Michele driving around yell at her to send me her photos.

Auf Wiedersehen!
